OPaver™ MP porous paving grids technical information

OPaver™ MP Grid Unique Cylindrical Shape for High Load Capacity

USA OPaver™ MP Grid is made from High Density Polypropolenene plastic. The plastic used is 100% recycled and made from non-petroleum based resins that remain chemically stable for the life of the product. Each panel is engineered with cylindrical cells and unique design elements allowing for the greatest load capacities. Each OPaver™ MP Grid panel is shipped assembled in a 2′ x 4′ grid consisting of four sub-panels.
Assembly is simple and by the unique fastener system engineered into the panels allows for quick assembly of large amount of square footage reducing labor time.

OPaver™ MP Grid drainage feature for turf, drainage and erosion control applications

OPavers™ MP are designed to allow for drainage through cells into sub-base material and between cells through drainage features in cell walls to allow water to flow evenly throughout the system to prevent pooling if stoppage should occur in a localized area. USA OPavers™ MP are designed to be installed for erosion control on steep grades and contain specially designed staking locations for grades steeper than 10 degrees.

OPaver™ MP Grid Construction Properties

The OPaver™ MP Grid are made from Industrial Grade Polypropylene.
Polypropylene is not susceptible to environmental breakdown under normal conditions as it will not react with organic compounds found in soil. UV stabilizers linked within the polymer will prevent degradation due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. In addition, polypropylene is among the most stable thermoplastics when it comes to accidental exposure to industrial and automotive solvents and petroleum based products that may be spilled on paved surfaces. Polypropylene can withstand extreme temperatures on both ends of the spectrum and thermal cycles will not affect the longevity of the material. Structurally, OPaver™ MP Grid are designed to control the aggregate substrate so that the aggregate can not migrate as a load is applied, but instead transmit the load directly to the base layer. The unique web design of the OPaver™ MP Grid system allows the grid to flex in case of direct load and also works to distribute any collateral force within the entire grid to prevent localized stress that can weaken some competitive products.
